What is a day in the life like when you live in Charleston?

An example of a normal day in Charleston, SC

Justin Thomas has lived in the low country for nearly 20 years and knows just where to go and what to see for a fun day out on the town.

6:00 a.m. “I’ll go meet my workout group at either a local park such as White Point Gardens or at a nearby track for an intense morning workout. Other days i’ll often go for a long run by myself through the streets of historic Charleston and along the battery. I love getting together with my workout group because it’s a great way to get in a great workout, catch up with my friends, and get a jumpstart on my day.”

8:00 a.m. “I usually go to The Variety Store for breakfast with a friend or client where I order their famous “Sunrise Special” that I have been getting there for years. They have beautiful views of the harbor and is where I love to sit and catch up on emails before getting my work day started.”

9:30 a.m. “My work day begins a showing or corresponding with clients about available properties, and following up with previous clients. Everyday is different and ever changing given the nature of real estate, I could be at showings all day or at a closing or hosting an open house.”

12 p.m. “Lunch for me could be with a client, my assistant Maxwell, meeting up with friends, or somewhere new with my partner Rick. I frequent Taco Boy, Five Loaves, Blind Tiger, or sometimes a sandwich to go from Normandy Farms. Even though my schedule is often very hectic, I try to plan a lunch with family and friends several times a week.”

1:30-4:00 p.m. “Continuing with my work day, if I have a free afternoon, I typically go sailing with my Partner Rick and several friends. Viewing the city from the harbor never gets old, and being out on the water is always a great way to spend an afternoon.”

6:00 p.m. “After a long day of working or playing in Charleston, I love to go to The Watch Rooftop at The Restoration Hotel to unwind with a cocktail. I love a Moscow mule or a glass of wine after a long day, and you just can’t beat the views from The Watch!”

8:00 p.m. “Right at the foot of The Restoration Hotel sits an amazing little French restaurant called La Farfalle. I love starting with wine and a cheese plate, and know that they will always have a great fresh catch or pasta special that day. Living downtown is perfect for me because it means that I can walk home from dinner and drinks along a beautiful historic Charleston street.”
